From Sheep to Felted Product
During your visit to Tourist Farm Zgornji Zavratnik, you will learn why sheep and alpine pastures are so important for preserving the cultural landscape and supporting the people who live on farms at such high altitudes.
You will meet the Jezersko-Solčava sheep, learn about their breeding and grazing practices. The farm also invites skilled spinners who will demonstrate how to spin wool using brushes, a spinning wheel, and a reel.
In the felting workshop, you can try it yourself and, under the guidance of the spinners, create your own pendant or a cover for your mobile phone.
