Life and Work on a Farm in the Past
The Zgornji Zavratnik Tourist Farm is a secluded farm located at 850 meters above sea level, surrounded by vast forests and mountain meadows. Here, you can explore the farm and discover traditional farming tasks as they were carried out in the past.
During your visit, you will walk along a circular path, learn about traditional farm work, and even try some of the tasks yourself (depending on the season). In the meadows, you will get to know different meadow plants, understand the differences between meadows and pastures, and learn about traditional methods of producing animal feed.
You will also visit the barn for cattle and pigs and learn about livestock systems, as well as explore a collection of old farming tools. After the tour, you will enjoy homemade cured meat products.
