From Forester to Basket Weaver
During your visit to the farm on the slopes of Mount Raduha, you will join a forester for a walk along the forest learning trail, where you will discover local plants and wildlife.
For high-altitude farms, the forest has always been an important source of livelihood. At Zgornji Zavratnik Tourist Farm, you will walk with the forester along the forest learning trail, learning about forest plants and animals, estimating the age of trees, trying forest fruits, and listening to birdsong.
Children will visit the old forester’s hut to explore life in the past. Along the forest trail, you will collect materials and, together with a basket weaver, learn how to make a small basket. The program concludes with a traditional mountain snack.
