Wine Tasting with a Tour of the Guerila Wine Cellar
You are invited to visit the modern and unique Guerila wine cellar in the Vipava Valley, where visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the valley and the slopes of Nanos, Čaven, and the Trnovo Plateau.
Guerila is a biodynamic wine-growing estate in Planina near Ajdovščina, created from the dreams, ambition, and determination of its founder, Zmagoslav Petrič, who built a new cellar at the top of the village of Planina. The building is exceptionally modern and designed across four levels. The first two levels are dedicated to tourism activities, while the lower two house a modernly equipped wine cellar. All who appreciate biodynamic viticulture are invited to join a guided tour of the cellar and vineyards, offering excellent insight into biodynamic farming practices and the Guerila philosophy.
Their vineyards are planted mostly with local grape varieties and are located on the southern slopes of the Vipava hills, bordering the Karst region. All vineyards are terraced and trained using the single Guyot system. During pruning, special care is taken to avoid excessive cuts, allowing the natural flow of sap and preserving the vitality of the vines.
TOUR AND TASTING:
- Wine tasting with a guided tour of the Guerila wine cellar (two floors), presentation of the distillation process, and an introduction to biodynamic wine principles.
- The tasting includes 4 wine samples and a snack platter with homemade prosciutto, cheese, olives, bread, and spread.
