The kitchen is the heart of the Želinc homestead, and they have fresh ingredients all year round, as well as delicious and juicy vegetables from their own garden. 

Just a step from the house flows the Idrijca River, where trout can be found, and in the pastures, cattle roam, with goats and lambs in the hills. Surrounding them are forests, where they find mushrooms and wild garlic. 

The farms in the Cerkno area also produce excellent cheese. They cook locally, using what the surroundings offer, and seasonally, so the meals are never boring. Of course, the most important ingredient is always the people, with their many years of experience, care, and love.

During the week of tourist farms, they will open the doors of their dining room for guests who would like to come just for dinner.

They will serve the Želinsko dinner, available only from April 4th to 12th, 2025, with the following selected menu:
